Beswick Engineering’s Rapid Pressurization Valve (RPV) is a novel product designed to control the motion of a pneumatic actuator such as a chuck, press, or gripper as it contacts a work-piece. The device is purely mechanical and therefore does not draw electric power to function. Simply install the RPV in-line with your actuator, set the operating pressure and flow restriction, and let it control the movement of the actuator. The RPV functions as a hybrid between a safety device and a flow controller. The internal needle valve restricts the initial movement of an actuator to a user defined speed, and then opens up upon sensing backpressure. This allows the user to limit the impact that a work-piece experiences when it is clamped down upon without sacrificing the pressurization speed of an open, free flowing connection.

The RPV is available with our instrument grade cleaning process for oxygen and high purity applications such as instrumentation. We also offer Krytox for when low-outgassing lubricant are required.
